... resulted me to unable to blog and post pics at home.
I have some shots of the recent volunteer trip to Samaritan's Purse Warehouse where we help out to sort out Christmas Shoebox gifts.
I love that place and I'm going back to the warehouse tomorrow evening.

Alive In This Moment
I came across this band, Starfield, via online radio ChristianRock.net.
They played one of their songs and immediately I knew I got to get their music, which I did.. pretty much all their albums (4?). They're pretty good and have the gift to put Christ into their circular-trend music
I believe most of you never heard of Starfield before so allow me to introduce one of their songs.
This song is called Alive In This Moment from Starfield album, Starfield (yes, self-titled) and it has been playing in my mind throughout the day..
Enjoy

I bought a pushbike..
.. for $300 from my colleague. :)
He bought that bike for 1400 3 years ago and he's keen to get rid of it as he's building a new pushbike.
I'll be riding it home from work today.
Will post pics soon.

Righteousness
There is a new awakening of the importance of the Pauline Revelation.
We little appreciate the fact that the early Church, for the first 250 years, did not have the Pauline Revelation bound together as we have it today. That is the reason that so many errors crept in and gained the ascendancy over the Church.
The key word is Righteousness.
Romans 1:16-17, "For I am not ashamed of the good news, for it is an unveiling of the ability of God to save all who believe in Jesus Christ."
In this good news is revealed a righteousness on the ground of faith. This is the content of those two verses.
The revelation that was given regarding Righteousness means the ability to stand in the presence of God without the sense of guilt or condemnation, to be able to stand in the presence of Satan and his works without the sense of inferiority.
Righteousness is the definition or explanation of John 15:5: "I am the vine and ye are the branches." The branch and the vine are one. The branch is not one whit inferior to the vine. The branch is the fruit-bearing part of the vine. It reveals what is in the vine, the character of the vine; all this is seen in the fruit. Then we can understand clearly what Righteousness means. It gives a son-standing to every recreated man. It gives the sense of dominance over all the forces of the adversary.

Jesus has overcome the world, not us
I was reading the CompassionArt book and I received a revelation through this verse: These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world - John 16:33.
For the past few weeks I've been involved with church programs / events to reach out to the community. The church has been encouraging the congregation to get involved and reach out to the people. In my heart, we need to reach out to the poor and show compassion and love for these people. Programs, events.. oh yeah, let's go and do it.. we then celebrate success and recognise the efforts of the team.
That somehow didn't sit well in my heart until God showed me this verse.
Jesus said this world is crippled with injustice, poverty, strife, depression, anger, etc etc and Jesus then assured us that He had overcome the world. Jesus had overcome those crippling negativities.. Jesus did not say "be a good cheer; we have overcome the world".. we are not part of the victory.. not our outreach programs, charity events, and even preaching at the pulpit. It's all Jesus.. Victory is in us but we are NOT involved in the victory process. It's already won!
Put it this way, God may use us but let's not think that it's all because of us.. It's all Him and Him alone.. John the Baptist said in John 3:3 "He must increase, but I must decrease."
It's like the donkey in Matthew 21. Jesus instructed His disciples to go and get that donkey. He then said in verse 3, "If anyone says anything to you, tell him that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”
When Jesus rode the donkey the Bible says in verse 8-9 ,"A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,
“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna in the highest!”
Revelation:
Note that it's rare to have a donkey tied and not being used unless it's a incapable donkey. This donkey speaks of us.. We are imperfect and flawed in many ways but Jesus said He will use you for His ministry. So don't feel ashamed of your incapability. God uses the weak in a far greater way than those who boast of their abilities before the Lord.. Jesus will exalt you as long as you let Him use you for His purpose.
IMPORTANT - Note the donkey was there and received standing ovation from the public. This is where most people, including pastors, get the wrong idea.. When people cheer and exalt at you, DO NOT THINK they are cheering for you. They are actually cheering the CHRIST IN YOU.. Don't be the donkey that thinks it's all me than the One who sat on top of it. Don't take all the credit and go "yeah it's all me. I did this and I deserve the credits". Then you are no better than the Pharisees .
IF your work for the Lord was not recognised by the church, I say to you - Take heart for God sees your good work and Jesus Himself will reward you.. furthermore, His reward will be far greater than what the church could do for a person.
He will bless us according to the riches of the Kingdom.. not the riches of the church or the earth.
Amen

I love my Friday evenings to be...
.. filled with nothingness.
I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at home on Friday while others would take this opportunity to go out with mates and enjoy other stuff.
I would fill my evening with music, worship, pray, read, talk to God, and rest at His bosom. Like apostle John.
I heard someone said that Friday evening is a no-no to stay at home. Got to get out of the house and partay!! Anyone who stays at home on Friday evening is a no lifer.
HAH!!
I beg to differ....!
And I laugh at your statement...
I receive most here; through spending time at home alone with Him than I do from (especially) Sunday church or Bible study group.
No one to look after
No one to spend time with
I'm totally free from any responsibility
Put it this way - it's MY time to be taken care of by Him
Not to mention after that, I would chillax with my family for late night yum cha.. sometimes.. :) :)

Evangelism
Last night I heard this awesome and powerful truth about Evangelism.
Evangelism is not about knowing a big chunk of theological knowledge about God but it's based on love.. RADICAL LOVE..
Oh man, when Bill Hybels said that, I immediately feel so in love with it. That is so so true!!
When someone said the word evangelism, often it is perceived as a person standing on the pulpit, a microphone in hand and preach the Word of God in front of thousands.. or you must have a degree of theological knowledge about the Bible to be qualified to be crowned EVANGELIST... which both are not true..
Evangelism is based on love.. to be precise, the LOVE OF CHRIST.
Evangelism is not we have to / must be but we all are born to be.
Evangelism is not about how much we must know about the Bible but it's about God's love for us.
Through the overflow of His love, we reach out to people with our vision empowered with God's eyes.. Instead of we see non-believers, we see the love of Christ upon them as much as He has upon us.
Be part of their lives with great passion for their well-being. We so wanted to share His goodness with them.
Try telling them this: "I'm sorry.. I don't want to see Heaven without you there"
That people, is EVANGELISM.
